Spanish-language media ad spending grew 3% to $5.78 billion in 2007, according to Nielsen-Monitor Plus, Adweek reports. Ad spending for cable TV increased 76% thanks to the additions of Fox Sports en Espanol and Telemundo’s mun2, while Spanish TV networks ad spending increased 2% to $3.01 billion, the newspaper says. Automotive advertising led the consumer product categories for Hispanics in ad spending, the newspaper notes.
