The future of professional tennis broadcasts is in a “critical” point as digital coverage expands the way fans interact with the sport, the Hollywood Reporter says. While celebrity athletes such as Roger Federer and the Williams sisters entice the casual fan, flat ratings numbers suggest that the sport remains popular only within a niche community of enthusiasts, the paper says.
