thePlatform Gives Cablers Video

Comcast subsidiary thePlatform has made deals with three major cable operators to provide online video services, the Wall Street Journal reports. Comcast has its own streaming video Web site, Fancast, but is looking to expand into the technology service provider arena with thePlatform, the newspaper says. As a part of its deal, thePlatform will deliver video to Web sites aimed at Time Warner Cable, Cablevision and Cox Communications’ high-speed Internet subscribers, the newspaper notes.
