NBC Universal unit Women@NBCU has signed a multimillion-dollar advertising deal with Wal-Mart, the New York Times reports. The deal will focus on “momtourages”—the groups of people who help mothers—through material, vignettes and contests on iVillage.com and the “Today” show on NBC, the newspaper says. In return, the segments on “Today” will be followed by Wal-Mart commercials, the newspaper notes.
