Cable Nets Get Convention Bounce

CNN lead the cable news networks in getting a ratings boost from the Democratic National Convention Monday night, TelevisionWeek reports. CNN averaged 3.7 million viewers, up 85% from four years ago, the paper said, citing data from Nielsen. Fox News Channel averaged 3 million viewers, up 84% from 2004. MSNBC averaged just 847,000 viewers, but that represented a gain of 122%.
