Dish Network Programming Now in MPEG-4

Dish Network will begin offering all programming in MPEG-4 form, Multichannel News reports. The satellite provider is touting itself as the first in the industry to transmit both standard and high-definition programming in the MPEG-4 Advanced Video Coding Standard. New customers in 21 designated markets in the eastern U.S. will be the first to receive the advanced delivery system.
