To find diversity in television, look no further than programming aimed at tweens and teens, the New York Times reports. The Disney Channel is the clear frontrunner in terms of casting minority actors in its ever-popular television shows aimed at younger demographics. Actors of Asian, Latin and African descent are featured prominently in shows including “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior” and “Hannah Montana” and in made-for-TV movies like “High School Musical,” “Camp Rock” and the recent “The Cheetah Girls One World.”
