NBC’s Olympics will take a big step toward increasing the amount of sports programming available to viewers on the Internet, the New York Times reports. College basketball, Major League Baseball, NASCAR and pro football viewers are also finding more of their favorite sports online. “I always hoped that the Internet would be able to offer what television could not and to give the user the ability to watch what they might have missed or relive what has created buzz,” said Gary Zenkel, president of NBC Olympics. “As video became a quality experience, I was hopeful that we’d be able to get to this day.”
