NBC may be reaping millions in viewers and dollars during its broadcast of the Beijing Olympics, but its New York City Telemundo affiliate and owned-and-operated flagship WNBC-TV are losing their Spanish-speaking audiences because of the Games, reports TVNewsday. Ratings for NBC’s co-owned WNJU-TV’s biggest competitor in the Spanish-language market, Univision’s WXTV-TV, have shot up in every key audience measurement during the Games.
