Joel Silver has optioned “Fortune’s Children: The Fall of the House of Vanderbilt” to HBO for a possible series, Daily Variety reports. The hour-long project is currently in the script-development stage under writer Jim Solomon, who will executive produce along with Silver and Jane Semel. “Fortune’s Children” tells the story of the Vanderbilts and their decline around the turn of the 20th century, the trade says.
