Soccer Match Breaks Telemundo Record

A CONCACAF soccer match Wednesday night between Mexico and Honduras scored NBC Universal’s Telemundo its largest 18-to-49 audience ever, Multichannel News reports. The match, which helps determine qualifiers for the quadrennial World Cup tournament, drew just over 2 million viewers. Telemundo, which has exclusive rights to air matches featuring Mexico’s national team, presented the game under its “Rumbo al Mundial” banner. The title roughly means “Road to the World Cup.”
