Sci Fi Channel is wrapping up “Stargate Atlantis” after the series’ current fifth season ends its run in January, Multichannel News says. The network, however, will extend the life of the show with a two-hour movie that will air sometime after the series ends, the trade says.

  1. How foolish of Sc-Fi Channel to end this great franchise in Science Fiction television.
First they lose SG-1 and now Sci-Fi cuts off their loyal audience completely.
I guess Sci-Fi will become the network for Gore and Wrestling instead of Science and Fiction … maybe a name change is due … the Gore-Wrest Channel.
Gate Fans will end up on http://www.stargateworlds.com and SciFi channel will eventually beg for product placement in the MMOG … I say tell them NO Thanks.
Like Family Guy, Stargate involves extremely intelligent writing and important messages amount humans and life on earth which networks believe are not good TV. Those fools …
“False Gods … indeed.” Tealc on Stargate SG-1
