HBO has chosen Alan Taylor to direct the pilot for the comedy pilot “Bored to Death,” starring Jason Schwartzman, the Hollywood Reporter says. Taylor has previously worked on the network’s “Sex and the City” and “The Sopranos,” for which he won an Emmy, the trade paper says.
