Glenn Britt, Time Warner Cable CEO, is not averse to starting a network DVR service if allowed by courts, Multichannel News reports. Britt, who made the suggestion during Time Warner’s quarter-earnings conference call, says the idea is a “better engineering solution than having hard drives all over everybody’s home,” the trade paper says. A U.S. Court of Appeals recently overturned a decision by a lower court that prevented Cablevision from rolling out a similar network DVR service.
