ABC ‘Open’ to Any Platform

ABC doesn’t care which platform you use to watch entertainment, as long as it’s ABC content you’re watching, CNET reports. With ABC shows already on Facebook, AOL and Veoh, the network and its “Open ABC” initiative aims at allowing its viewers to choose their viewing experience by giving developers access to its content in hopes of finding the most innovative way to access their shows. “ABC isn’t just a television brand, it’s a content brand living on any device, and tailored specifically to the consumer and advertiser needs, and optimized for each specific use case and digital platform,” said Disney-ABC digital media Executive VP Albert Cheng at a conference last week.
