Cable operators Comcast and Time Warner are confident about picking up new subscribers when the nation’s broadcasting signal switches from analog to digital in February, Reuters reports. There are about 2 million to 3 million homes in places where digital TV signals can’t be accessed in Comcast’s area; thus the cable operator will offer a low-priced broadcast-only service as well as offering its telephone and Internet wares.
