‘Clone Wars’ Blasts Off With Two Sponsors

Cartoon Network will have a limited number of commercials in the premiere of its new series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” from George Lucas, TelevisionWeek reports. The first episode will have just two sponsors, EA Games and 20th Century Fox. Limiting the number of commercials and sponsors has become an increasingly popular technique as marketers seek more bang for their buck and networks look for ways to charge higher rates, TVWeek says.
