An antipiracy coalition made up of media, technology and service provider companies, Arts+Labs, has been created in hopes of deterring Internet users from engaging in the piracy of media content, Multichannel News reports. The coalition, whose members include NBC Universal, Viacom and Microsoft, also will promote legal sources of content on the Internet and inform Internet users of the dangers of obtaining media content illegally.
