Comcast Appeals FCC Web Finding

Sep 4, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Cable operator Comcast officially appealed the Federal Communications Commission ruling finding that the company improperly blocked its customers’ Web traffic, the Associated Press reports. Last month, the FCC determined the company violated a federal policy guaranteeing unfettered access to the Internet. The ruling had required that Comcast disclose details of its network management to the FCC and to submit a compliance plan by the end of the year, the AP says. Comcast has since said it plans to cap Web usage by its customers to prevent overloads.
