Cox Equipment Connected to Wildfire

A report from the California Public Utilities Commission’s Consumer Safety and Protection Division attributes a wildfire in San Diego County last October to faulty equipment from Cox Communications, Multichannel News reports. The division believes the Guejito fire was caused when a lashing wire from Cox came into contact with a San Diego Gas & Electric power conductor. Cox and the San Diego utility company have voiced criticism for the report, the trade says.
