ESPN Extends WAC Contract

ESPN extended its contract Wednesday with the Western Athletic Conference for seven years, keeping the division’s college sports, including football and basketball, on the network until 2017, Multichannel News reports. ESPN has rights to distribute WAC games across its many entities, including ESPN, ESPN on ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN360.com. Schools within the division include Boise State, Fresno State and Hawaii.
