ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown Presented by IBM” and “Monday Night Countdown Delivered by UPS” are back for the season with new segments to complement the older ones, Multichannel News reports. On the Sunday edition, a segment titled “Young Is Restless” will feature Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young giving viewers his opinion on the week’s topics. Also on Sundays, Kenny Mayne’s “Mayne Event” will look at New York City media’s reaction to the arrival of Brett Favre to the New York Jets, while Matthew Berry and Merril Hoge will help the folks at home with their fantasy football teams. Monday nights have “For Love of the Game,” a game to find out who knows more about a player appearing in Monday night’s game: his significant other or his teammate. Young also will appear on Monday nights for “Quarterback Conundrum” with analyst Trent Dilfer.
