National news organizations weren’t the only out-of-towners who descended on Wilmington, N.C., Monday when the town made the official switch from analog to digital broadcasting, the Wilmington Star-News reports. Four Japanese TV networks, including NHK, also made the trip to the Tar Heel State. Japan plans to switch to all-digital broadcasting in 2011.
