With the addition of six more markets, DirecTV now offers local HD service to 91 cities, or 81% of U.S. TV households, Multichannel News reports. The six markets are Mobile, Ala.-Pensacola, Fla.; Richmond-Petersburg, Va.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Toledo and Youngstown, Ohio; and South Bend-Elkhart, Ind. DirecTV’s local HD expansion continues, with the satellite provider hoping to add 30 more markets by year’s end.
