Since June, Sen. Barack Obama has spent $1.5 million in television ads in Indiana, a state often overlooked by past presidential campaigns, the Associated Press reports. The Democratic presidential candidate also spent a total of $6 million on TV advertising during the primaries. It’s surprising since the Hoosier state, with its 11 electoral votes, has long been a stronghold for Republican presidential candidates. Sen. John McCain has not fought back against the Obama ad blitz, the AP reports.
