Stations Want Syndie Sitcoms

Television stations are trying to acquire sitcoms for syndication because of their popularity with advertisers amid the dearth of current material being produced, Daily Variety reports. Syndication rights for “How I Met Your Mother” to eight U.S. markets recently garnered $41 million, the newspaper says, citing media reports.
