Milton Katselas, a director and acting teacher whose pupils included Gene Hackman, Doris Roberts and George Clooney, died of heart failure in Los Angeles at age 75, the Hollywood Reporter says. Nominated as a director for a 1970 Tony Award, Katselas was mentored by legendary acting coach Lee Strasberg and director Elia Kazan, the newspaper reports.
