The Advertising Council in a partnership with the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network, launched its first series of national ads this week aimed at combating anti-gay language and harassment among teens, MediaDailyNews reports. Hilary Duff and comedian Wanda Sykes each star in an ad aimed at raising awareness among straight teens about homophobic language and the effects of harassment. A GLSEN school survey found that nine in 10 LGBT students report they have been assaulted or harassed.
