Major League Baseball is setting up base in Secaucus, N.J., for its upcoming 24/7 baseball channel MLB Network, the New York Times reports. The channel, scheduled to hit the air Jan. 1, joins other league-owned networks from the National Football League, the National Basketball League and the National Hockey League. MLB Network moved into MSNBC’s former real estate and invested $54 million to built it into an HD facility intended to last a long time, the newspaper says.
