C-SPAN Wants High Court Oral Argument Tapes

C-SPAN has requested access to expedited audiotapes of the Supreme Court’s upcoming oral argument in the case of the Federal Communications Commission vs. Fox over profanity used in a “Billboard Music Awards Show” broadcast, Broadcasting & Cable says. If the court grants C-SPAN’s request for expedited release, tapes should become available not long after the conclusion of the argument. The network then plans to air the unedited audio as soon as possible, complete with the language that is the basis of the case between the government and the network.
