Kyle McSlarrow, president of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, told C-SPAN’s “The Communicators” that he believes the fundamentals of the cable business are “pretty strong,” Broadcasting & Cable reports. McSlarrow, however, told the program the liquidity and the credit markets remain an issue for the industry and an uncertainty. McSlarrow believes the cable industry’s staying power has surprised Wall Street with competition in the form of satellite TV and telephone companies.
