Ellen DeGeneres, criticized for not making an effort to help defeat a ballot proposition that would ban gay marriage in California, has made a public service announcement urging voters to defeat the measure, the Associated Press says. The video was posted on DeGeneres’ syndicated talk show’s Web site Tuesday. DeGeneres recently married actress Portia DiRossi.
