Larry King Awaiting McCain, Palin Visit

Oct 20, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Larry King isn’t feeling the love from the John McCain campaign, and he’s letting everyone know in his blog, TVNewser reports. A post in King’s CNN blog is titled, “McCain and Letterman make up; Is LKL next?” In July, the presidential candidate appeared on CNN’s “Larry King Live” and said, “I want to say that the vice presidential candidate will be on your show. I will not risk the wrath of Larry King, I want to assure you.” With two weeks left to go in the election the senator has yet to fulfill his promise. McCain was scheduled to appear in early September but an over-the-air skirmish between campaign spokesperson Tucker Bounds and CNN’s Campbell Brown forced him to cancel.

  1. Here’s a small but meaningful change. It would be more accurate to say “prompted” rather than “forced”, as in: “…an over-the-air skirmish between campaign spokesperson Tucker Bounds and CNN’s Campbell Brown prompted McCain to cancel.”

  2. McCain continues to let his true colors show, despite all the efforts to repress them.
A free wheeling hour with Larry King would let all of Palin’s colors show as well.
Larry, take a bow. That they are avoiding you is a big feather in your cap. The spin masters lose when their “Maverick’s” attempt to be open, available and spontaneous.
Go on being Larry King and relish in the attention their absences generate.
