Female-skewing network Lifetime is looking for producing partners overseas, Daily Variety reports. President and CEO Andrea Wong and Senior VP of Original Movies Tanya Lopez have been at MIPCOM in Cannes, France, this week talking to existing production partners including France’s TF1. Wong told Variety the network is looking to move away from its women-in-jeopardy fare and more toward the realm of recent original movies “Living Proof,” “Coco Chanel” and “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter.” “It is really important for us to evolve the brand into a much more relevant, contemporary and optimistic place,” Wong said.
