Republican presidential candidate John McCain is closing the advertising-spending gap with Democrat Barack Obama in states up for grabs in next week’s election, including Florida and Ohio, the Associated Press reports. In order to free up funds, McCain has cut ad spending in states such as Minnesota, Maine and New Hampshire, the wire service says.
