Meredith’s Broadcast Sales Down 6.7%

Meredith’s fiscal first-quarter broadcast revenue fell 6.7% from a year earlier to $70 million as a weakening U.S. economy cut advertising in the automotive and retail industries, TVNewsday reports. The TV station owner had to depend more on categories such as entertainment and electronics for its ad sales, TVNewsday says.
