Now Obama is ‘Whassup’

Remember those guys from Budweiser’s ubiquitous “Whassup” spots? These days, they’re using the tagline to boost Democrat Barack Obama in an online video, the Wall Street Journal reports. In the ads, the buddies from the original ad call one another about their problems, which range from serving in Iraq to watching his portfolio melt down. “Change. That’s Whassup” is the video’s sign off. Budweiser licensed the idea for five years and now can’t do anything to stop creator Charles Stone III from repurposing a slogan still largely associated with the King of Beers.
