Major movie studios sued RealNetworks over a new program that lets consumers copy DVDs onto computers, the Wall Street Journal reports. DVDs are an increasingly important stream of revenue from television shows as well as movies. The studios allege that RealNetworks’ RealDVD program illegally bypasses copy-protection coding, the newspaper says.
