At the MIPCOM conference in Cannes, France, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley compared online video to the early days of television and reminded attendees how many had feared radio would die with the advent of that technology, TechCrunch reports. “I would argue that the difference between this part and the part that preceded it is semantics,” Hurley said. “We are all—digital or otherwise—confronting the same challenges and we should all be searching together for common solutions.”
