After 26 years with the brewery giant, Anheuser-Busch’s VP of global media and sports marketing Tony Ponturo, one of the most powerful men in sports marketing, is retiring at the end of the year, the Wall Street Journal reports. Since 1990, Ponturo played a key role in Anheuser dominating marquee sports events including the Super Bowl, the Journal says. “I have had a great career at Anheuser-Busch,” Ponturo said in a statement. “The timing was right to move on to the next thing and new adventures.”
