Child Stars Find Jump to Adult Projects Tricky

“Cheetah Girls” actress Adrienne Bailon is among the many child actors trying to make the leap from kids’ fare to the big leagues. The method she tried to help her make that transition probably wasn’t the smartest decision she’s ever made, Advertising Age reports. The 25-year-old Bailon apparently reported her laptop stolen at New York’s JFK Airport, complete with nude photographs of the actress. The theft never happened, and after publicist Jonathan Jaxson “leaked” the photos to the press, all the actress was offered was $100,000 to pose in Playboy. “This feels like a colossal miscalculation on somebody’s part, a big mistake,” said “Lizzie McGuire” creator Stan Rogow, who also serves as manager to “High School Musical” co-star Corbin Bleu.

  1. Wow. How embarrassing. How pathetically desperate do you have to be to fake a story like this? Maybe it’s time to think of another career, sweetheart. It sounds like you just don’t have what people want. 100 Gs to pose for Playboy? Now that’s desperate.
