Online video is showing signs that it, too, is being affected by today’s economy, Mediaweek reports. Web production firms 60Frames and Revision3, branded video site Break.com and Web video aggregator Veoh have all had layoffs, as reported earlier on TVWeek.com. This news, along with several high profile original Web series disappointing recently, could just be the tip of the iceberg with many predicting further casualties as venture capital and ad support are likely to become constrained by the recession, Mediaweek says.
