Consumer-products giants such as Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson are starting to skip one step in the creative process by enlisting media companies for new ideas on ways to sell its goods, Advertising Age reports. Such efforts follow last month’s statement from Charles Schwab Chief Marketing Officer Becky Saeger that advertising agencies are “almost in the way sometimes,” AdAge says.
