NTIA’s Baker Supports DTV Extension

Nov 21, 2008  •  Post A Comment

The Bush administration now is supporting the suggestion that some analog TV stations should remain on the air for 30 days after the national transition to digital broadcasting in February, Multichannel News reports. “It would be a helpful step, so I would encourage that passage,” said Meredith Attwell Baker of the National Telecommunications & Information Administration. It was only last month when Baker told reporters she opposed any extension as to avoid confusion, Multichannel says.
