Omnicom Group’s OMD has been awarded CBS’ media planning and buying account, Adweek reports. The assignment includes both CBS and sister network Showtime. The account was formerly with Interpublic Group’s Initiative, the former employer of OMD’s CEO Alan Cohen. Cohen was on Initiative’s winning pitch in 2006. CBS Marketing Group president George Schweitzer tells Adweek the move was made because of Cohen and his management team.
