‘Project Runway’ Fight Imperils Show

The legal fight between Bravo, Lifetime and producer the Weinstein Company over which cable network will get to air “Project Runway’s” sixth season may keep the fashion-design contest off the air for several months, the New York Times says. Bravo aired the first five seasons of “Runway” and Weinstein sold rights for the next five years to Lifetime for about $200 million, the Times reports. That sale prompted Bravo parent NBC Universal to sue, saying it had a right of first refusal on the show. As the case continues NBC Universal is casting for a contest program tentatively titled “The Fashion Show,” the paper says.
