Sezmi Corp., which is trying to put together an interactive, multichannel station for over-the-air distribution, announced that it received $33 million in funding, according to TVNewsday. Sezmi is attempting to deliver 35 to 40 cable channels and an extensive list of vide-on-demand offerings for half the price of cable or satellite providers. The funding comes on the heels of the company’s layoff of 20% of its workforce, according to TVNewsday.
