Online advertising is showing growth despite the recession, according to the latest figures released by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mediaweek reports. Online ad spending neared $5.9 billion during the third quarter, up 11% from the same period a year ago. The figure also is up 2% from second quarter 2008.
