Web video company Blinkx has unveiled a new video format that will incorporate a sponsor’s message directly on the video during playback, the Guardian reports. The “un-roll” ad unit will wrap video clips with advertisers’ messages while allowing viewers to view the videos and click on links where relevant, the newspaper says. Some estimates suggest that by 2012, Web video will make up only 6% of revenue from the online marketplace, the Guardian says.
