Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay will executive produce HBO’s drama “Cocaine Cowboys,” about the early days of Miami’s cocaine-trafficking history, the Hollywood Reporter says. Meredith Stiehm, the creator and executive producer of Bruckheimer’s CBS drama “Cold Case,” will write the script. HBO also picked up two comedies, “Bored to Death” and “How to Make it in America,” ordering eight episodes of each, the Reporter says. “Bored to Death” stars actor Jason Schwartzman as a Brooklyn writer with a drinking problem who pretends to be private detective, while “How to Make it in America” stars Bryan Greenberg and Victor Rasuk as two men trying to achieve the American dream in New York City.
